About
Ambit is deliberately small.
You are buying judgement. Judgement does not scale by adding graduates, and on most jobs the problem was never capacity — it is that nobody in the room has done this before.
The practice
Twenty-two years in construction, twelve of them in senior management, running seven or eight projects a year with a combined value between $300m and $800m. Residential, health, hotels, data centres, infrastructure, prisons, defence and pharmaceutical manufacturing. More than fifty projects, several of them into the billions.
That work was done inside head contractors and alongside the consultant teams, which means the same contracts have been read from both directions: pricing and defending a claim, and assessing one. Most of what Ambit is asked to do now sits on the owner's side of the table — tender assessment and negotiation, value management, design and statutory review, contract administration through delivery, and the commercial argument when a job goes sideways.
The credibility argument this page has to make is narrow, and it is the whole business: that the person who reads the enquiry has already run the thing the sender is currently frightened of, and has run it from more than one side.
Ambit is a single practice rather than a firm with a bench. That is a limit and it is stated as one. It is also the point — the person you speak to first is the person who does the work, and nothing is handed down to someone learning on your job.

Work
Case studies are published as anonymised sector descriptions — the sector, the side of the contract, the problem and the outcome, without naming the parties. Where a client is willing to be named, they are named.
Current engagements are not described here while they are running. A live tender assessment or a contract dispute is the client's business, not marketing material, and a description precise enough to be interesting is usually precise enough to identify the job. Cleared examples are added as clients agree to them.
What every engagement does produce is a project portal: the programme, the budget and committed costs, the document register with every revision, contracts and payments, open matters and the bill of quantities, all in one place and updated as the job moves. Hosting, access control and the software behind it are included in the rates — there is no subscription and no licence fee.
What Ambit is not
Not a law firm. Ambit does not give legal advice and does not hold a practising certificate. Much of the dispute work runs alongside a solicitor, and where a matter needs one, that is said early rather than worked around.
Not a reseller. Ambit takes no commission from software vendors, suppliers or contractors. Where the recommendation is to buy something, there is nothing in it for Ambit.
Not a large firm. On a major programme needing a full project management office, Ambit is the wrong answer — and that is a better thing to be told in the first conversation than in month four.
Start with a conversation.
No obligation and no charge for the first one. If the answer is that you do not need Ambit, that is a useful thing to find out in twenty minutes.
