Put it in writing. Bring the contract.

The first conversation is free, takes about twenty minutes, and commits you to nothing. Bring the contract if you have it.

Attach the contract and the correspondence if you already have them.

What to have ready.

None of this is required. It makes the first twenty minutes worth more.

  • The contract, including the schedules and any amendments to the standard form.
  • The claim or the payment schedule, whichever one started the problem.
  • The dates. When the work was done, when it was claimed, when the response came.
  • Any notice you have issued or received, and when.

If a statutory deadline is running, put the date in the subject line. Security of payment timeframes are short and are generally not extendable. Losing one can end an entitlement regardless of the merits of the claim.

Or use the form.

Or write it down. It goes straight to the person who will answer it, and nowhere else.

No newsletter, no list, no third party. Sending this does not create an engagement and nothing in a reply is legal advice. What we do with it.

Working Australia-wide. Interstate projects are run remotely as a matter of course, with site visits where the work warrants them. No shopfront.
