Privacy

What we collect, and what we don’t.

Short version: this site sets no cookies for visitors, runs no tracking, and shares nothing with anybody. If you send an enquiry, it goes to one mailbox and stays there.

Visiting the site

Visits are counted using Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It records aggregate figures — page views, referring site, country, browser and device type — and does not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites.

There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no social media tracker on this site. Typefaces are served from this site’s own domain, so loading a page does not send a request to a font provider either.

This site sets no cookies for visitors. It stores nothing in your browser — no cookies, no local storage, no session storage. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

The one exception is the client portal. If you sign in to a project, the site sets a single cookie that keeps you signed in. It is needed for the portal to work, holds only which project you opened and when the session ends, cannot be read by scripts on the page, and expires after twelve hours or when you sign out. It is not used to track you.

Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request information such as your IP address in order to serve the page and to protect against attacks and abuse.

If you send an enquiry

The enquiry form collects what you type into it: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, organisation, which side of a contract you are on, whether a deadline is running, and your message. It also records the time, your IP address and the country the request came from.

The IP address and country are recorded for one reason: to limit automated abuse of the form. They are not used to identify you or to market to you.

The enquiry is emailed to a single mailbox and is read by one person. A copy is retained for twelve months and then deleted automatically. Correspondence that becomes part of an engagement is kept as part of that engagement’s records.

Sending an enquiry does not create a client relationship, and nothing in a reply is legal advice.

What we don’t do

  • No mailing list. You will not be added to one, because there is not one.
  • No selling, renting or sharing of your details with anybody.
  • No advertising networks, remarketing or audience building.
  • No profiling, and no automated decisions made about you.
  • No commission arrangements with software vendors, suppliers or contractors.

Who else can see it

Two service providers are involved because the site runs on them: Cloudflare hosts the site, handles the analytics and delivers the enquiry email; and the mailbox provider stores that email. Neither is given your information for their own purposes.

Beyond that, your information is disclosed only if the law requires it.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask what has been retained about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email the address below and it will be dealt with promptly. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason.

Deletion is straightforward here because there is very little to delete: an email and, for up to twelve months, one stored form submission.

Changes

If what the site does changes, this page changes with it. A privacy statement describing a previous version of a system is worse than not having one.
